Dan Curtin – Spatial Relationships EP (Reissue) (MET036)
11,99€
Long time underground legend Dan Curtin once again delivers some hot property, that electronic music tastemakers and revered diggers will have a joy in adding to their bag. The sought after ’99 release Spatial Relationships sees the light of day once more, remastered and repressed. An integral release from the American producers back catalogue on the vital Metamorphic’s Recordings.
Opener Crazy Life is an energetic brew of dancing drums and busy hits all run through with some superbly cosmic synths. It is electrifying to say the least. She Thinks She’s So Smooth is a hi tech house cut with exquisite drum programming and tripped out synths and chords that lend it a late night feel. It is filled with machine soul and future vibes and then gets followed by An Up The Wall Drive, which is pure Motor City techno with its warped bass and hyperdrive hits all underpinned by slick drum work.
This is a timeless masterpiece from this long time pioneer, if you are not familiar with this one already, sit tight and enjoy the ride.
